SCMM DRS DYNO Day!, July 16, 2006

Eric Sharp's MCSc on the DRS DynoJet Dyno

On Sunday morning, July 16th, 2006, the SoCal MINI Maniacs held a group DYNO Day event at DRS Racing in La Habra, CA. The opportunity to get 3 documented "pulls" on the DYnoJet Dynamometer for $50 each was attractive enough to bring a bunch of folks out to participate. Some of the results were surprising, but it seemed like everyone found the process interesting and worthwhile.

Big thanks to the guys at DRS Racing for their hard work all morning - they were the very picture of efficiency. Thanks to O.C. County "co-governor" Tamoosh (Mooshie) for handling the logistics. Thanks to club President George for providing pizza for everyone, and thanks to all who participated, and kept things interesting while we hung out in the heat. (Mid-80's all morninig...)

I was using an unfamiliar camera to get the few pics I did - sorry about the lack of quality.

Here's George Marsh's capture of the results "whiteboard":

I captured this poor-quality almost action-free mpeg with my old digital SONY camera - be warned, it's about 5Meg, and is just My car on the rollers. Sounds cool though.
